Jana Cantua is a photographer based in San Antonio, Texas, whose work explores themes of heritage and belonging through the perspective of her Mexican-American upbringing. Cantua’s imagery reflects her personal journey toward connection and self-acceptance, honoring traditions while carving out new expressions of self. Her photography brings intimate narratives to life, celebrating the richness of Latinidad and the resilience embedded in each frame. A graduate of the Apostrophe Reps Mentorship program, which uplifts BIPOC voices in the creative industry, Cantua bridges her personal story with broader cultural dialogues. She currently lives and works in San Antonio, Texas.
